De Villiers to meet with CSA in August to decide future

AB de Villiers will meet with Cricket South Africa in August to chart his future in international cricket. De Villiers said they were going to “make a final decision about what happens for the next few years.”

“We will see what works for both parties,” de Villiers said. “We are not going to pick and choose games, but we are going to make a final decision about what happens for the next few years.”

De Villiers was speaking in Cardiff after the third T20 international against England, which South Africa lost to lose the series 2-1, after having crashed out of the Champions Trophy in the group stage, and lost the ODI series against England 2-1 as well. De Villiers was captain for all those assignments – he stood in for Faf du Plessis in the T20Is – but left the squad ahead of the Test series against England.
