PCB chairman Ehsan Mani has pulled out of the race for ICC chief, according to a Mumbai Mirror report. The development means that current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly stands a greater chance of grabbing the post in case he contests the elections.
Speaking about pulling out from the ICC chief race, Mani stated, “It is true that I will not be contesting the election. I have announced it in the media also. I was never interested. The news actually came from India. I was approached by a few to contest and I have said I am not interested.”
On being asked about Ganguly’s chances, the PCB chief stated that he wasn’t aware of whether the former India captain was contesting or not. “Not to my knowledge. I do not know if he is contesting.
