Recent Match Report – Islamabad United vs Multan Sultans, Pakistan Super League, 22nd Match

Multan Sultans opted to field against Islamabad United

Multan Sultans won the toss in a rain-reduced game, and have opted to field first. After rains lashed Islamabad for much of the past few days, the groundstaff had a huge challenge getting the outfield dry enough to get a game on. The ground was finally ready for play, but the time lost meant only a nine-overs-a-side contest was possible.

Multan will qualify with a win, and made a pair of changes in a bid to do just that. James Vince and Junaid Khan come into the XI, replacing Muhammad Irfan and Ravi Bopara.

Islamabad, who fell victim to the weather yesterday, succumbing to a nine-run defeat on the DLS method to Peshawar Zalmi, made two changes too, Mohammad Musa and Amad Butt coming in for Faheem Ashraf and Zafar Gohar.

Multan Sultans: Zeeshan Ashraf (wk), Moeen Ali, James Vince, Shan Masood (capt), RIlee Rossouw, Khushdil Shah, Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanvir, Mohammad Ilyas, Junaid Khan, Imran Tahir

Islamabad United: Luke Ronchi (wk), Colin Munro, Rizwan Hussain, Shadab Khan (capt), Colin Ingram, Asif Ali, Amad Butt, Rumman Raees, Dale Steyn, Mohammad Musa, Akif Javed
